Well, some things that have happened since my last post. I went to VA for NE Region State Rep conference and a CR 1 day Seminar. It was fun to meet other State Reps from this region of USA. The 1 day was a really big success, something like 492+ people were there. I stayed in a host home for the weekend. They were sooooo nice and had a beautiful home.
I am getting ready to send out my introductory letter to the CR groups in my region before I go and visit them. I am nervous about that, it is out of my comfort zone. I am also excited about doing this and answering the call, so to speak. I also need to work on my testimony, I will be asked to give it at some of the groups and I need to be ready.
My Daughter just had her 29th birthday. I feel old sometimes when I think about different things. My knee has been hurting me some lately and I am chalking it up to the weather what with the lows and highs passing through quickly.
I went to a stamping show this past weekend. Had fun going with my sister and friend. Bought about 5 rubber stamps and think I found my stamp I will use on this year's Christmas card. Now I just have to make them. Also found something new at the show and can't wait to try it on a card to give it some dimension.
Filed my income taxes and will be getting enough money back to hopefully pay for most of my trip to CA for the CR Summit. They will be celebrating 20 years this year at Summit and that should be fun and amazing.
I have started a new way to eat and have lost 5 pounds, not going the way I had hoped. It is so hard to maintain, since I am only 1 and really do not like to cook just for 1. I do need to lose more weight, and I just need to be consistant on what I eat. I have a knee replacement that will probably have to be done in a year or 2...am trying to put that off as long as possible.
I want to go visit my son and his wife, but feel like I would be imposing and also the money is kind of short with me having to make a trip to CA. Oh, well God will provide a way to do what I need to do. I also miss my Dad & Mom, being able to call them just to say hi, how are you doing? And to hear my Dad tell me I am looking good over the phone - his way of joking.
I am so glad Spring is coming, I was really getting tired of the cold and snow. The trees are starting to leaf out and Spring flowers are blooming and birds are singing. Cleaned my back porch. Also bought me a new dining room table at a second hand store. It is oak and someone said to say with the 3 different sets of chairs that I should say I am decorating shaby sheek (sp) however you spell it. I guess it is better than saying early ghetto.
