Basket Bingo, 2014 - for The American Cancer Society

Here are some cards me and my sister, Leah June made for the silent auction at Basket Bingo
I also was able to see my Great Nephew - Levi.  And he learned my name (sort of) Aunt Gall.  I have some cousins when we were way young called me Gall also.  Apparently Gail is hard to pronounce, so it comes out Gall.  I played with Levi, chasing him and he also helped my Sister, Sandi - his Grammie make biscuits.
Although he did not like the biscuit dough on his fingers, even though he put his finger in the dough - too funny
Basket Bingo made over $4,000 - amazing!  People are not strangers to cancer.  I have so much fun doing this and knowing it is for a great cause.  Icing on the cake is getting to spend time with my sister, Sandi and my Great Nephew.  Nothing like Family!!!!  My sister took pictures on her IPhone (I forgot my camera) of the Basket Bingo night, when I get them I will post them.  God please take care of people sick with cancer.

Clouds

on my travels to and from my sister's house I took a couple of pictures.  Clouds some how catch my eye, and this first one reminded me of rolling wind or waves...
and this little black cloud in front of the white cloud caught my eye also
How God paints the sky, oh my, oh my.

A trip to the Zoo

My sister, Leah June and I decided to visit the Cleveland Zoo.  It was a pretty day, slightly cool but a sunny Spring day.  Here are a bunch of pictures, the first one is of a Golden Lion Monkey
some really pretty blue frogs
and this next couple of pictures is for my Son - who knew there was an animal for him with one of his favorite colors on it...

for my friend Sue
and for my Sister
and of course you have to have a picture of these
It was a pleasant day with the animals of the Zoo.  God has such a big imagination to think up all of these animals and so many more.  How wonderful the Garden of Eden must have been!

Just a little picture trying to be artistic - HA, yes this is a bridge you walk under to be able to see the lions, bears, etc.

Leviathan - the recreated engine that pulled Abraham Lincoln's Funeral Train

My sister, Leah June and I traveled to Wellington, Ohio to see the recreated engine, Leviathan - that was used to pull Abraham Lincoln's funeral cars to his burial site in Illinois.  There is supposed to be a 2015 Lincoln Funeral Train historic recreation commemorating the 150th year.  You can go to www.the2105lincolnfuneraltrain.com to learn more about it and to donate.
and a castle we saw on the way...an actual home for someone...rather unique

Ladies Retreat 2014

We had our church's Ladies Retreat on April 12-13, sorry for the late posting.  The theme was Encouraging One Another. Because I work and since I don't spend the night, I don't usually go on Friday nite.  I do get there early on Sat. and make the most of the day with the ladies.  Jill came all the way from Texas to be with us.  Her and Mark moved last June. Below are pictures from the retreat, this first picture is where the Ladies ate breakfast.
This is the building where the Ladies stayed that spent the night
This is the building where we had our Sessions, singing and small groups.
A few pictures of the Ladies
and now a few pictures of the area around the buildings, it was about 45 and sunny this weekend.
